A letter from Frank and Linda Hobart to our friends in ministry across the Tennessee Valley...

For almost 24 years now we have been serving the state of Tennessee and north Alabama as Awana missionaries. We have had the privilege of ministering in over 700 churches and starting over 600 new Awana ministries. God has been so very good to us and we have been blessed with so many wonderful friends and partners. We know that this has been God’s will for our lives and love this ministry very much; however, we believe strongly that God is leading us to a new ministry. Our good friends, Mike and Naomi Crain have asked me to become the Director of Ministries of Fort Bluff Camp and Conference Center.

As you would imagine, this was not an easy decision. We have been praying and trusting God in every step for His will. We are really excited about this new ministry opportunity, yet at the same time we have very heavy hearts as we leave the ministry we have poured our lives into for 25 years. It is our plan to stay involved with Awana as much as possible and we are planning to continue the great relationship between Awana and Fort Bluff Ministries.

Our plan is to make the transition by January 31, 2009 and be full time in our new ministry at Fort Bluff on February 1, 2009. While we are in transition, we will be working with our Ministry Teams and our National Field Director to be sure that the transition goes as smoothly as possible until another missionary can be placed here in the Tennessee Valley.

It is our deepest desire that we maintain our friendships and good relationships with all of you, our dear friends. You mean so very much to Linda and me. Please continue to pray for us.
